Kimberly Jo Huffman, of Fremont, Nebraska was welcomed into heaven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after a courageous battle with cancer on March 18, 2019.  She was born June 27, 1958 in Oakland, NE to Roy and Virginia (Ford) Huffman and passed away at the age of 60.

Her education began at the Decatur Public School in Decatur, NE where she graduated.  Kimberly then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Kimberly was baptized and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Decatur Restoration Branch, Decatur, NE.

Kimberly made her lifetime home in Lincoln, NE and worked in the hotel industry at Holiday Inn and The Graduate Hotels.

Kimberly was an avid bicyclist, and she biked throughout Lincoln enjoying every minute of it.  Spending time with her closest and lifetime friends, Teri Brown and Diane Gramke of Fremont, NE gave her much enjoyment and happiness.

Christmas was special for Kimberly, getting to come home and spend time with her family.  She always brought a special gift for everyone, and that is what made her the happiest was giving the little nieces and nephews fun gifts.  Seeing them smile, was her greatest joy.  Kimberly had a loving and kind heart, and always thought of others before herself. 

Loved ones preceding her in death are Father, Roy Huffman; and Brothers-in-Law, Howard Storm and Phil Penny.

Loved ones surviving Kimberly are her Mother, Virginia; Brother, Rick Huffman; and Sister, Regina Storm all of Decatur, NE; Sisters, Laura Penny of Sioux City, IA, and Kathy (Mike) Divis of Fremont, NE; Niece, Heather (Rob) Grandgenett- children Colton, Beau, & Brooklyn; Nephews, Heath (Amy) Penny- children Shae and Hayden; Tory Penny, Garrett Divis, and Spencer Divis.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ, Decatur Restoration Branch in Decatur, NE with High Priest Dale Smith and Evangelist Dale Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, Nebraska. A luncheon will follow the committal service at the Decatur City Hall basement. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
