Edwin Roy Raymond, 54, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away from Covid-19 on May 10, 2020 at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2020 led by Lonnie Campbell at the Onawa Community Center, Onawa, Iowa followed by a luncheon. (Social distancing measures must be followed- Family requests attendees to bring and wear masks.) Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
Edwin was born October 9, 1965, in Onawa, Iowa the son of Albert “George” Earl Raymond Sr. and Bernadine (Heistand) Raymond. Eddy attended school in Onawa, Iowa. At the age of 16, Eddy went to work at Monona Services. Eddy moved to Glenwood, Iowa for several years. In 2015 he moved back to Sioux City, Iowa.
We are all so blessed that God picked us to be Eddy’s family. Eddy was a very caring and loving person, who always made people happy. He enjoyed sharing family time, and loved giving gifts to his family. He always had a smile. His greatest joy was coming home for his weekend visits, and staying with his Mom. He enjoyed going to his Special Olympics. His love for his family was unconditional.
Eddy is survived by his mother, Bernadine Raymond of Onawa, Iowa; one brother, Earl (Debbie) Raymond of Elizabeth, Colorado; four sisters, Peggy (Bud) Biggerstaff of Sioux City, Iowa, Cheryl Raymond-Terrell (special friend Leland Sargisson) of Sioux City, Iowa, Lorrie Keller of Onawa, Iowa, and Rhonda (Randy) Weidt of Onawa, Iowa; one brother-in-law, Will Ranger of Hudson, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Sandy Fender of Onawa, Iowa; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, and one great-great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Albert “George” Raymond; one brother, Ronnie Raymond; one sister, Linda Ranger; and brothers-in-law, Harold Terrell and Clifford Keller.
