Ruth C. Martin, 94, of Green Bay, Wis., formerly of Sloan, Iowa, died Sunday, January 14, in Green Bay.
The rosary will be recited at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, July 21, 2018, followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 A.M., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salix, Iowa, with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Salix. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Ruth was born March 8, 1923, on a farm near Danbury, Iowa, the youngest of Isadore and Margaret Brenner’s eight children. Ruth attended St. Patrick’s Academy in Danbury and graduated in 1941.
She married Earle T. Martin of Sloan, Iowa, in 1945. Together, they raised three children on their family farm. She and her husband moved to Green Bay in 2001 to be with family.
Ruth was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salix.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Tom and Pam Martin of Green Bay, two daughters and their spouses, Jana Martin and Lynne Mytty of Fremont, Neb., and Holly and Mike May of Mequon, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Berniece Boyle and Lucy Oberreuter and her five brothers, Raymond, Vince, John, Norman and Loren Brenner.
